If you’re 13+ and an active participant, love golf, working with kids, or just want a job that actually means something, the Junior Coach Program at First Tee – Raritan Valley might be your perfect next step.
As a Junior Coach, you’ll help teach younger golfers, build real leadership skills, and work side‑by‑side with our trained staff. You’ll grow your confidence, strengthen your communication, and make a real difference every time you step on the course.
And yes—this is a paid position.
What it’s like to be a Junior Coach
Think of this as a mix between being a role model, a teammate, and the “cool older kid” younger participants look up to. Your job is to help them have fun, learn new skills, and feel confident on and off the course.
You’ll be:
- Helping run fun golf games and stations
- Keeping younger players safe, engaged, and supported
- Demonstrating First Tee’s Core Values in action
- Bringing positive energy to every class
- Working with Lead and Assistant Coaches who’ve got your back
Why this is for YOU
Real job experience
You’ll be part of a professional coaching team. This is legitimate work experience you can add to your resume or college applications.
Leadership skills that stick
You’ll learn how to communicate, lead groups, give feedback, and problem-solve—all things employers love.
Confidence booster
There’s nothing like helping a younger golfer hit a great shot or master something new because you coached them.
Community + Purpose
You get to be part of something bigger. Kids will genuinely look up to you.
Paid position
You’re doing meaningful work—and you get compensated for it.
What you need to apply
You’re a great fit if you:
- Are 13+ years old
